I finally have my etsy page up and running!!

www.modbebe.etsy.com

Having a lot of fun being creative and the best part is buying all of the fun fabrics! It's kind of addicting though. I think I've spent an obscene amount of dollars on fabric over the last year... but, hopefully I can get some of it back if I can sell some of the creations!

My new endeavor is making darling bibs and burp cloths!! Super cute with chenille fabric on one side and designer fabric on the other. It's all still in the works but, my goal is to have this up and running as a part time hobby by spring 10'! In the mean time I would love to take special orders! If you have any babies in your life or know of anyone having one soon, this is a great gift! Thanks so much for your support.

Anyone interested in buying a house? After a year of hardwork from mostly Craig and his Dad, but not to leave out Ginny and I, it is finally done!

Pool time at the hotel.

The plane ride... probably the most exciting part of this whole trip! We started off VERY early on a Thurs. morning and arrived at the Surfer Beach Hotel in San Diego sometime around 1:00p.m. We actually 'missed' our flight because we missed the cutoff to check luggage by 10 min.!!! I was almost in tears. The whole morning was quite a fiasco! Our flight was scheduled to leave at 6:00a.m. We decided to leave the house at 3:00a.m. We arrived to check the car in at 3:45 and the shuttle was supposed to take us to the airport right away. Of course, it was a guy in a turban who could barely speak English and was running around in circles like a madman! Getting nervous after waiting for about 40 min., we finally made it into the van. Hold on, as we flew (I'm almost positive 60 mph.) down Seatac Blvd. Of course we had 2 car seats, 2 large pieces of luggage, 2 small, and we each had a carry on. Oh, and an umbrella stroller. That was even after downsizing everything into less bags! So, we got dropped off at the wrong side of the airport. I'm talking like the complete opposite side we needed to be on. We were so frazzled we didn't want to bother with getting a cart thing. Big mistake! Here we are, might I add, CRAMMED on a (thurs. morning?) intl. airport RUNNING with all of the luggage and car seats and pushing a stroller to the other side. Did I mention it was just Craig an I carrying all of that? And since we booked a connecting flight, it made things very difficult to use the automated check-in station. After some help and standing in line for 20 min. We were told we had to check our bags 40min. prior to boarding. It was already 6:00 and boarding started at 6:30. So, we missed by 10 sinkin minutes! Happy ending... we ended up getting a direct flight there! I just have to mention, how ridiculous it is to try and keep a 2 yr. old sitting the whole time when he knows how to unbuckle the belt! Benedryl did not work.

We stayed for 5 nights and 6 days. Just long enough. We hung out at the beach and visited Sea World and Lego Land-which was on Caleb's 6th Birthday! Courtney, Peter and Miss Savannah came and stayed a night with us too!

This was our 1st (and probably last for about 5 yrs.) big vacation as a complete family. We really had a great time and made a lot of fun family memories.

P.S. Benedryl did not work on the way home either!

My first attempt!

Just in the past 2 weeks!

So, where do I start? I figured this would be a great way to keep everyone up-to-date on the goings on in the Meier household.

This week Caleb started his 1st day of kindergarten. His teacher is Mr. Bailey. He really likes his class. He goes half day from 8:45-11:17... kind of an odd time. Anyhow, it's a little crazy in the morning because Caleb and I could sleep in until about 9:00 but, Riley is usually up by 7:30 on the dot! We haven't had any reason to all get up and out the door dressed, fed, and bathroom breaks included so early before. I'm sure it's going to take a while to get used to the new routine. I'm hoping it will motivate me to get my butt in gear to work out since I'm already up... I'll let you know how that goes.

I also signed up to be a Southern Living at Home consultant. I am so excited! Everyone is always saying I should be an interior designer and while I would love to, I just don't have 2-4 yrs. to go to school. Basically, I can help people decorate their house with beautiful products on a real part-time basis. I will be adding more to the blog later including the catalog you can browse.
You know where to find me if you want to order, have a party or sell the products too.

I've been pretty consumed with my sister's upcoming wedding on Sept. 21st. My mom and I threw a beautiful tea party bridal shower on Aug. 24th. Of course it was supposed to be outside and in POURED!... (my yard was looking really good too)! Of course it was beautiful the day before and the day after!!! Lovely. It did turn out really nice. My living room looked like a mini restaurant. All of the furniture was crammed into our office and garage. We rented chairs and borrowed tables. I have to say it was fun to go all out for this one since she is my only sis and all of my friends are married! Although, mom was not so thrilled about all the detail that went into everything. (she's not really one to throw parties)!

This weekend is another shower for Mal. Craig gets to come this time. It is a couples shower that Matt's aunt is throwing. And the best part is... the boys are staying the night with Craig's parents!

Puyallup Fair here we come!!! I love that fair! Haven't missed a year yet. That's Sunday the 7th.
